Individual

Based on your intake session, you and your therapist will develop an individualized plan to determine the frequency and type of therapy that will best meet your specific needs.

Family

Focused on the family as a whole, your counselor may work with each family as a whole, part, or as individuals in order to address specific family goals.

Types of Therapy

Explore the different types of therapy we offer to help you find the approach that best supports your unique journey toward healing and growth.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

CBT can help to reduce distress and improve your ability to function. It can be used for adults and children to change the way they think, feel, and behave. It is especially effective at managing mild to moderate anxiety and depressive disorders. CBT works especially well with OCD and other anxiety disorders.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing

EMDR therapy can help you heal from the emotional distress and negative beliefs caused by traumatic experiences. Using methods such as eye movement and hand tapping, your counselor can enable you to process your memories and modify your emotions, beliefs, and body responses. This kind of therapy is proven to provide the same benefits as years of psychotherapy.

Expressive Therapy

Expressive therapy consists of play, art, writing, and music which make it a safe environment for both adults and children to express their emotions and experiences. Expressive therapies work especially well with children who may have difficulty verbalizing their thoughts and feelings. Expressive therapy allows you to deal with emotional problems, build confidence, increase self-awareness, manage behavior, develop social skills, cope with symptoms of stress and trauma, and restore a sense of well-being.

Mindfulness Based Therapy

Mindfulness Based Therapy allows you to become aware of your thoughts, feelings, and body responses as well as how you react to your surroundings. If you’re looking to change negative behaviors and improve self-awareness, this type of therapy can be very gentle, restorative, and effective.

Family Therapy

Family Therapy allows the family as a whole to improve their relationships and work through difficult situations with better communication, mutual support, and conflict resolution. Family Therapy can be beneficial for a family dealing with a range of difficulties such as mental health and substance abuse disorders, divorce, grief and loss, as well as many other issues causing conflict in the home.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

ACT is a type of psychotherapy that helps people develop psychological flexibility and adapt to challenges by accepting their thoughts and feelings, and committing to actions that improve their lives. ACT can be used to help people with a variety of challenges including grief, disappointment, illness, and anxiety, and depression.
